This recipe has been in my Galliher family since about the year 1880.
It has been modified through the years to bring it up to date but the main ingredients are the same.

   4 eggs
   2 cups sugar
   1/2 cups butter
   3 tablespoons lemon juice
   1/4 cup pecans, broken
   1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
   1/2 teaspoon allspice
   1/2 teaspoon ginger
   1/2 teaspoon vanilla
   1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
   1 cup raisins
   1/4 cup milk
1 10-inch unbaked pie shell (or 2-9 inch pie shells)

Cream eggs and sugar; add milk, butter and spices. Then add lemon juice and nuts. Boil raisins in water about 5 minutes; drain. Add to pie mixture. Pour in pie shell(s). Bake at 350° F. for 40 minutes or until pie is firm.
