Charmie Galliher's Corned Beef
The following vegetables, by proportion:
1/3 part potatoes
1/3 part carrots
1/6 part onions
1/5 part rutabaga
1 head cabbage, cut in wedges
Instructions:
Freshen and rinse the corned beef. Boil for 2 hours, remove and cool. Slice in 1/4" slices, push to fan the slices out and sprinkle with brown sugar. Heat in oven to warm and melt the sugar just before serving.
In the meat water, boil the potatoes, carrots, onions and rutabagas in the given proportions. In the last 15 minutes, add the cabage wedges. Serve the veggies, cabbage and meat in separate dishes
