Broccoli-Cauliflower Salad

Terri Czerwinski (from Mary Alexander Memorial Cookbook)

   1 bunch fresh broccoli
   1 head fresh cauliflower
   Bacon bits (to taste)
   1 package Hidden Valley Ranch dry creamy Italian salad dressing mix
   1 pint jar mayonnaise (do not use Miracle Whip)
   1 8-ounce bag shredded cheddar cheese


Wash and chop broccoli and cauliflower finely. Mix broccoli, cauliflower, and cheese. Add mayonnaise and Hidden Valley dressing mix. Mix well.
